My name is Dre. Born and raised in Mount Vernon, NY, being raised by wholesome Jamaican parents, and being the oldest of three children, from a young age he was given a mission to set a positive example for his younger siblings even if the city he grew up in would make its efforts to influence him to do otherwise. He also always knew that it was imperative to be strong in order to accomplish his mission but the problem was that he was weak and frail which angered him. Angered him to such a degree that he had to do martial arts to constructively channel his frustrations. This was before he joined a drum corps at the age of 13 and got a taste of strength and leadership by his strict but friendly instructors. During his experience, they forced him to be fit enough to drum on a snare and/or bass for hours at a time during parades. He would also have to do 100+ pushups as punishment if he or one of his teammates messed up on a cadence. In the fall of 2016 when enrolled at Southern Connecticut State University he was given the nickname “Body By Dre”. Throughout his professional and personal life, he made a realization that his life’s purpose was to uplift as much people as possible before he dies. To be a true Big Brother on a larger scale. He also realized that strength is not limited to the physical realm but also encompasses the mental, emotional and spiritual realms as well. It is his belief that life itself is heavy and one must be strong enough to carry it. This made his resolve even stronger to become powerful enough to empower those around him. He currently has his own business “Body By Dre LLC” doing group and personal training and selling his own apparel. His next mission is to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the age of 25 and aims to continue to enrich himself with strength in all four directions for the remainder of his life to stay true to his purpose.
